Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

I was already reading this when I came across the Pride and Prejudice Bicentenary Challenge 2013! My favorite book of all time!!!

Pride and Prejudice, what can I say that has not been said already!
Maybe one day I can write a review that will do this book justice!

"She respected, she esteemed, she was grateful to him, she felt a real interest in his welfare; and she only wanted to know how far she wished that welfare to depend upon herself",

"She became jealous of his esteem, when she could no longer hope to be benefited by it."
I never tire of the book and adore the way Austen expresses feelings

“I have said no such thing. I am only resolved to act in that manner, which will, in my own opinion, constitute my happiness, without reference to YOU, or to any person so wholly unconnected with me.” - I would love to be able to live my life by this quote, if only!

"where other powers of entertainment are wanting, the true philosopher will derive benefit from such as are given" - Love lines like these!

I grew up in Hackney and feel a connection when I read these lines

“But that expression of ‘violently in love’ is so hackneyed,
"His principal object must be to discover the number of the hackney coach which took them from Clapham."

As I started the challenge late I also read  Mr Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange in the same week and am now starting my third book. I am thoroughly enjoying  the challenge, but as I have been reading so much my essay writing in college has taken a turn for the worst. I keep writing and speaking as though I am in the Edwardian era! My youngest was about to have a tantrum the other day and I said "Stop! this will not do!"
